ECO4 Scheme
The new ECO4 scheme is the latest version of the government’s ongoing initiative to increase energy efficiency in lower income households. The number of households in fuel poverty is rising and reducing heating costs is the most effective single measure limiting this rise.
The main elements of ECO4 are insulation, heating sources and renewables. Insulation reduces the amount of energy needed by improving heat retention, more efficient and cheaper methods of heating will lower bills and the use of renewables can ultimately cut expenditure significantly.
Insulation options include external, internal, hybrid and cavity wall measures as well as flat roof, loft, pitched roof and party wall insulation. There are also solid floor and underfloor solutions.
Heating technology offers several energy efficiency alternatives, such as the replacement of boilers with non-condensing boilers with condensing boilers, air source heat pumps, electric storage heaters, first time central heating and more effective heating controls.
The main focus of ECO4 renewables is photovoltaic solar panels which can provide energy to the household and deliver any excess to the national grid.

Eligibility
You may be eligible for ECO4 if you are living in private rented accommodation or own your own home and live in it.
Receiving Benefits?
You may be eligible for HHCRO if you receive certain means-tested benefits such as Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Universal Credit. You may also qualify if you receive particular disability or health-related benefits.
Not receiving benefits?
If you do not receive any benefits you may Qualify under LA FLEX (Local Authority Flex) or LADS (Local Authority Delivery Scheme).

How we work
CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY
STEP 1
The first step in the process of unlocking ECO4 funding for your home is to check whether or not you are eligible. Learn more about the conditions for eligibility for ECO4 funding or use our online eligibility checker and let us do the hard work for you.
FREE SURVEY
STEP 2
We will arrange a FREE survey by one of our qualified and certified surveyors, this will consist of a 10-15 minute inspection of your home’s energy efficiency measures, home survey visits are designed to be minimally intrusive.
INSTALLATION WORKS
STEP 3
Once we have identified the measures that can be implemented, we will arrange for the installation works to be carried out with your approval and coordinate the works to maximise the convenience. On average, most works are completed in less than 3 days.
